Organisers of this petition say that the Serbian singer had aroused nationalism in Serbs with the song “kallashnikov” in the 1990s, which had prompted Serbian paramilitaries to carry out massacres in Kosovo, but even wider.
This petition is required by the Government of Albania and Prime Minister Rama, but also by the Korca municipality, to cancel the invitation to attend Bregovic.
“ ...We seek from the Government of Albania (Prime Minister Edi Rama), and the Korca municipality, (Coriraq Philo), immediately to cancel the invitation for participation in the concert of the man, with whose song was inspired by Serbian soldiers and paramilitaries to carry out the most secular massacres in Kosovo, and not only”, the petition said.
The Express newspaper contacted Corca Hall yesterday and they have the latter. said That this matter is closed, Bregovic will perform on “Beer Party”.
“We do not withdraw the participation of Bregovic from the Beer Fest because we refuse to position ourselves politically in this debate. There is no political approach to the participation of a Sarajevo-born singer and since before we contacted him to join him and we are correct there has been no position either against Albanians or against Kosovars”, she has said.
While reperer Capital T from Kosovo and “Peja Bire” have already been withdrawn from this country, which will be held from 18 August to 22 August.
