Parliament approves the first reading bill on air protection from pollution

In rationalising the bill, the minister of the Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, Librun Aliu, appeared before MPs, who showed his purpose.
This decision to change this law is taken following the assessment of Kosovo's adoption of legislation with that of the EU. The drafting of the new air protection law is intended to regulate and ensure citizens' right to live in a clean-air environment, protecting human health, wildlife, wildlife, and environmental and natural values from air pollution”, the minister said.
The need for the adoption of this bill also reasoned on the deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement, Victory Pacolli-Dalip.
“Air pollution is one of the main causes of premature death, other diseases, brain attacks, lung disease, cancer and asthma. In addition to the impact on human health, air pollution also has impacts on environments, vegetation and faua”, she said.
“On behalf of the Parliamentary Group we support the legal initiative for compliance, or the law on air pollution protection. In the process we will give the necessary recommendations, especially in the part of improving quality”, the deputy said. PDK, Ferat Shala.
Annie why she expressed support, LDK deputy Besian Mustafa said she is not convinced that this bill is not at all carrying financial costs.
“The LDK supports the air protection bill from pollution. Of course, as colleagues previously stated, air pollution is one of the most acute problems of Kosovo citizens. But I call on the ministry of the line to pay attention to calculating the financial cost. I am not convinced that this bill does not carry at all financial costs”, he said.
While, Paul Lekaj from the AAK said their contribution to this bill would be given between the two readings.
“The AAK supports the bill in its first review of air protection from pollution and our contribution will be given between the two readings”, Lekaj said.
