During 2020 alone, the state has spent close to 109 thousand euros, out of them over 6 thousand euros on pensions of about 38 dead veterans.
“Pensions paid after the death of beneficiaries ] from comparison of data/registries between MPMS and the Civil Record Agency have been found that 840 payments, worth a total of 108,801$5 per pension after the death of beneficiaries“, the ZKA report said.
But this is not the only category for which they were divided before and after death.
Under the relevant laws of pension schemes and applicable rules, pensions should be stopped after the beneficiaries' deaths.
The remnant of people dead on the payment lists are irregular payments, according to the audience, and as such damage the ministry's budget.
