According to the CEC, these cameras will be used during various processes at the Counting and Results Centre, including the counting of conditional and post-level votes, as well as during the eventual recount of the deployments.
CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi said that using these recording cameras in the QNR would help the CEC boost the credibility of citizens and candidates in activities taking place at this centre. He recalled that several important processes are under way in the CNR after election day, such as the provisional vote count, the vote by mail, and the recount of polling, so the largest monitoring of these activities would help the CEC preserve the integrity of the elections.
Meanwhile, in his address, State Election Commissioner Iliran Celibashi said that the Republic of Albania, in the recent parliamentary elections that were held on 25 April, has used cameras in all polling stations, and that was an added guarantee for the election process.
The leaders of the two institutions agreed to continue co-operation in the future, aimed at increasing the performance of electoral administration and election standards.
