Official: European Union removes Kosovo from security list

According to the EU announcement, travel that are not necessary in the EU by these states would be subject to restrictive measures. The move does not prejudge the decisions of member states to lift restrictions on persons fully vaccinated by these states, the European Union announced.
The alarming increase in the number of infected and the number of deaths from the effects of COVID-19 disease has caused the European Union to change the list of safe countries.
What restrictions will also depend on EU member states, as some of them earlier, without expecting the Council's decision, had imposed restrictions seeking negative tests on the part of travellers.
According to sources within the EU, from countries that are not on the list of safe <x0 sub-entity” is not allowed at all to enter the EU except in cases of professional needs or because of close family ties.
Restrictions will also exclude those who have residence in the territory of any European Union country. But they too may be forced to proselytize for a certain period of time.
Kosovo was placed on the list of safe places at the end of June, just on the eve of summer holidays. At that time, the number of infected people was very low, and so were those who died from the effects of the virus. Now in the EU, they are concerned with the huge number of infected people and the high percentage compared to the number of tested.
On Monday (August 30th) in Kosovo, 20 victims have also been registered as a result of COVID-19, which causes the new choreography.
According to the Health Ministry's report in the 24 hours leading up to 932 new cases of coronary infection.
The new cases emerge after testing 7,384 samples in state and private labs.
Of the overall number of tested, over 12 percent have proved positive.
The Hospital Service and the University Clinic of Kosovo (SHSKUK) said on August 30th that in hospitals and clinics that treat coronary patients are extended to 1,250 patients. Of them 1,142 are confirmed by coronary.
According to the daily report, 60 patients are in intensive care, meanwhile 1,062 are being treated with oxygen therapy. / REL
