At the request of the United States, Kosovo has pledged to host a number of refugees from Afghanistan.

One of the consequences Kosovo may have from the new Afghan power in the case of accepting refugees from this country is attracting recognition of Kosovo's independence.

So said Info Magazine in Klan Kosova Anton Noecaj, from the Centre for Jurdical Assistance and Regional Development.

“From the political aspect there may be uncertainty that the new power there could attract recognition of Kosovo's independence. In this respect, the Government of Kosovo will have to be prepared for how to co-ordinate actions both legal and political regarding the admission of aphagane refugees”.

Noecaj said that in a future Kosovo could be the target of the Taliban attack.

“From the security aspect we don't see any potential risks from persons who will be refugees who will come to Kosovo. But the potential risk could be from new power in Afghanistan. First because we're helping the deserters of the country who are leaving Afghanistan. And it could be the object in the near future the object of various attacks by the Taliban”.
