Sources for Euronews Albania suggest that the Netherlands is preparing to send 4 helicopters to Albania that will help with the fire situation.
This added logistics is expected to lead the number of helicopters committed to extinguishing fires, mainly in the southern areas.
As Defence Minister Niko Peleshi has confirmed, Albania has only one fire extinguisher that has been engaged in flights to Karaburun in the first place.
From Tuesday, the government allowed the Civil Protection Agency to engage two private helicopters.
High temperatures and deliberate fires have created difficult situations with flames in six counties in the country.
Hundreds of hectares of bush and trees have burned in Karaburun's area for the past two weeks alone, while the military forces' commitment has not made it possible to eliminate them. /euronews/
