Navajo, who built his political career by exposing corruption in Russia, is being held in the high-security prison in Pokrov, located 60 miles [100 km] east of Moscow.
In a comment sent to The Guardian from prison, Navajo called west to act against corruption and break the oligarchs, continues Periscope.
This week he told the New York Times that the days of hard work of the Soviet goug had been replaced by what he called “psychological violence” of brainwashing and propaganda.
He said the guards monitored them until they watched state propaganda for hours, without being allowed to read or write.
