Migen Kelmendi has left the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
Kelmendi himself made it known through a Facebook post, broadcast Periscope.
He has said the reason for his departure from the PDK is to create space for young people to engage in this party.
Kelmendi has added that the decision on his departure was taken earlier, but that he was asked not to make it public until the PDK's new chairmanship and leadership was elected.
Migen Kelmendi's Facebook announcement:
It's time to go.
I did a piece of PDK. I am political, and the commitment I am to this party was more symbolic, to give a modest support to the newcomer reforms.
I'm a party deal, I joined you in a critical moment with the sincere intention of helping and contributing, just when it was difficult.
Today I think I help you back up and create space for new names and new people, because the party needs a lot of recovery and new fables.
I believe the party has faced this period when it needs to continue, temporarily, without its founders, and it has won its merit country in the partisan spectrum of Kosovo.
( SP. This statement was written on June 6th, but with the prayers of my friends, I was asked to publish after the process of electing the mayor and the new consequential. )
