Krasniqi: Afghans' stance in Kosovo will be temporary, split budget for them

The arrival of a group of Afghans to Kosovo by Professor Milazim Krasniqi is not seen as a danger to the country.

University professor in an interview for Online Economy stresses that their position in Kosovo will be temporary.

He is calling the Government's decision to take their home, adding that this is strategic action in partnership with the US and with NATO.

The Government's decision has two components, and the strategic side, from the humanitarian aspect, certainly needs to be offered help and housing to anyone who needs, while strategically, this is a partnership with the US and with NATO, and it is obviously the right” decision.

I naturally have a hand of embarrassment when faced with foreigners this is an initial feeling, but I am convinced that with the mechanisms that exist, even this phenomenon can be controlled, and in all likelihood they will be temporary in Kosovo, so it doesn't present any serious problem”.

The professor says he doesn't expect any budget sharing problems, which, according to him, would be good for Kosovo to share tools for them, but is also convinced that friendly countries will help in this regard, EO reports.

“After all, we as the people of Kosovo know the bitter experience we've had being expelled from our country by being refugees and we know that the hospitality they've offered to us has been a savior for us”.

The “currently does not know all the modalities, but of course Kosovo will be aided in this respect because our partners know the financial difficulties Kosovo has, and Kosovo is still subject to or subject to aid coming from friendly states, in this respect there is no need for stress, but even if it would be needed from the country's budget to divide some of the means for humanitarian reasons”.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said days ago that a month ago they are preparing for the shelter of a group of citizens from Afghanistan after the conflict in this country, Online Economy reports.

While the Kosovo government has approved the Interior Ministry's request for providing temporary and immediate protection to persons endangered by internal conflict in Afghanistan.
