Kosovo's government on the Afghan issue: We're in touch with the Americans, everything's gonna be fine.

The government says they have been in communication with the US since mid-July, stressing that the US remains the main ally of our state.
“Since mid-July we have been in constant communication and co-operation with US state and military authorities on this painful and sensitive issue. There's a lot of logistical, technical, security and social work that we're treating carefully. The United States is our main ally and our strategic partner. Everything will be wrapped up properly”, confirmed for the Express Journal, Luan Dalipi, chief of Prime Minister Albin Kurti's staff.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Sunday that Kosovo should respond positively to Afghan housing if required by the United States of America. While stressing that Albania has responded positively to American demand.
I don't know if Americans have asked Kosovo to accommodate Afghans who were exposed as allies' friends and supporters; I hope that if so, the Kosovo government will respond positively, for its and Kosovo honour, of course. But I suggest that at the NATO Summit, it was I who raised this concern for the lives of the Alliance's Afghan collaborators after its withdrawal from Afghanistan. I even referred to the tragic experience of opponents of the communist regime in our country, who killed, imprisoned, tortured, destroyed any inner enemy after triumphing over foreign enemies and completely closed Albania, as they will now, the Taliban with Afghanistan”, Rama said.
There were many reactions to the issue, asking Prime Minister Kurti to support America.
Former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said Kosovo must host Afghans and stay close to the US.
Haradinaj says he must stay close to America as they repatriated Kosovo citizens from Syria.
Even former Kosovo Ambassador to the US, now deputy head of the PDK Vlora Citaku, says Kosovo should show generosity and accept a number of refugees from Afghanistan.
We in Kosovo know very well the feeling of inadequacy that comes to the momenttin when you are being thrown out of the house violently. The pain and insecurity that overtakes you when you're cut off from everything you know and don”, she said.
The Taliban have entered Afghanistan's capital, Kabul. American officials said diplomats were being transported to the airport to leave the country. It is also suggested that soldiers are being sent to enable evacuation of as many citizens as possible and to avoid any tragedy.
Taliban have made rapid progress in recent weeks, taking control of large parts of the territory as foreign forces, led by the US, are withdrawing from Afghanistan.
