Kosovo Medical Centres Performing Rapid Tests for COVID-19, infection grounds

In many ambulance centres in various municipalities, the Health Ministry's permission is under way without basic conditions.

Dr. M.I., at the Family Medicine Center in Gjilan, has confessed to Gazeta “Enigma” how these tests are being conducted under severe conditions.

If we have these job mixes, then we have a security and health breach on the health of health staff that we have always alarmed, and it's impossible in the same country to test potentially the infected, and to perform the other services, because the possibility of the infection spreading is huge. According to him, testing in this form should either be prohibited, or set up special labs or rooms in medical centres in order not to contribute to the opening of the infection.

So it takes special centres or completely shut down those”, he stressed.

Despite problems and complaints by citizens and health staff about the conditions under which tests are being conducted, from the Health Ministry's Information Office, they have said this process is normally flowing.

“Testations are conducted by IKSHPK and regional public health centres for the public sector and private labs in the private sector. Normally, tests are conducted, and this is seen from daily reports given also on testing”, the paper provided the response.
