Kosovo Medical Centres Performing Rapid Tests for COVID-19, infection grounds

In many ambulance centres in various municipalities, the Health Ministry's permission is under way without basic conditions.

Dr. M.I., at the Family Medicine Center in Gjilan, has confessed to Gazeta “Enigma” how these tests are being conducted under severe conditions.

Even those suspected of being infected with coronary are tested in the same room where blood pressure is measured and where other services are performed for other patients.

There's no need to test citizens. Here we measure the tension for older patients, here's sugar, and the same country we're going to have to run 10 minute tests for COVID-19. We don't have any other conditions. We'd better not run any tests than we are risking both us and the citizens”, she told the newspaper.

And the whole situation, according to the chairman of the Medical Union, Berim Syla is undermining the safety and health of the white - skinned.

If we have these job mixes, then we have a security and health breach on the health of health staff that we have always alarmed, and it's impossible in the same country to test potentially the infected, and to perform the other services, because the possibility of the infection spreading is huge. So this is where security and health are being violated at work”, he said of Gazette “Enigma”.

According to him, testing in this form should either be prohibited, or set up special labs or rooms in medical centres in order not to contribute to the opening of the infection.

“O must be prevented from testing or creating specific conditions so that in the country where serial tests or other tests are conducted for COVD should be special, an introduction is established and not mixed up with other patients and the rest of the staff. So it takes special centres or completely shut down those”, he stressed.

OVA: Tests in ambulance centres are being conducted normally

Despite problems and complaints by citizens and health staff about the conditions under which tests are being conducted, from the Health Ministry's Information Office, they have said this process is normally flowing.

“Testations are conducted by IKSHPK and regional public health centres for the public sector and private labs in the private sector. Normally, tests are conducted, and this is seen from daily reports given also on testing”, the paper provided the response.

While KMDLNJ Board Executive Director Bexhet Shala has said that the creation of conditions for inoculation and testing is contributing to further endangerment of public health. He has even criticised Kosovo institutions for not doing enough to provide health security for citizens.

“We were inconsiderate as a citizen health protection state, while institutions fell asleep due to the severe decline of the cases, and were found unprepared in this situation, did not perform the vaccine in time or were done in very small numbers, and that has now affected the number we are extremely high and has to do with an overall health risk of”, Shala said.

He has also estimated that the government should open as many vaccine centers as possible, as it is not enough by a single centre in the municipality.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health, according to data from the Kosovo National Public Health Institute, has announced that so far the total number of active cases with COVID-19 in Kosovo is 10,000 and 183

Also recorded Tuesday has been the record number of infections, where 1,765 citizens have proved positive with the COVID-19 for the last 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the vaccine in all Kosovo cities, over 600 thousand doses of the vaccine have been given.
