Kosovo efficient intervention, almost all fire hears under control

Almost all fire departments in Kosovo have been placed under control. So the defence ministry reports, specifying that fire crews, army and civil protection remain in a position to manage emergency situations. The main focus is on protecting human life. “Fire screens mainly after they are turned off and re-activated because of the winds that are continuing and normal hot weather. We have it under management and full control”, said Ejup Macedonia, chief of operations.
Soldiers engaged in extinguishing fires are numerous, even though the KSF is the third institutional reacter in such situations.
“The KSF has operated during these days with capacity for readiness that means approximately all the time we've had about 100 people engaged on the ground for these” operations.
The goal is to help civil populations more effectively. “All the time, the KSF members have stayed in the field, so they've stood near the fire shelters and kept those fires under control in some form, our main focus has been to save people's lives and minimize the consequences that might be caused by the” fires. KFOR has also come to the aid of firemen and the military, which has intervened through helicopters, pouring water over the fires.
