For a time, the Foreign and Diaspora Ministry and my office have worked to secure the safe evacuation of Kosovo citizens from Kabul. With the help of the United States and European states, two of our citizens have been evacuated safely from the country and will soon return home”, Osmani wrote on the social Twitter network.
On Monday, 16 August, the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore announced it was in direct contact with three Kosovo citizens in Afghanistan who have sought help to leave Afghanistan.
The security situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated, since the Taliban on 15 August entered Kabul and later said they had control of Afghanistan's territory.
