It's been almost a year since the first Special Court arrests. The lawyers of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders have since addressed dozens of complaints in the specialised chamber stages, ranging from parole to problems with the prosecution's extraction of materials. Almost all these complaints by lawyers have been rejected by either the First Court or the Appeals Court at The Hague.

On this matter, OVL KLA secretary says the approach of judges and prosecutors has been the denial of the right to be tried in freedom by former KLA leaders.

Their main goal is not to let them defend themselves in freedom, and it's a big injustice because people are probably held there for years, and they can't be protected in freedom and the sessions are prolonged to them. The trial does not start for years and is a violation of human rights committed to indictees”, Klink told RTK.

In September it's been a year since the first arrests by the Special Court began.
