KFOR troops in Kosovo, due to training, will be added from August 30th to September 8th

“A small military contingent from the United Kingdom will arrive in Kosovo on 13 August, tasking to establish the infrastructure needed to accommodate a larger NATO contingent that will participate in the training mentioned. Additional troops from other NATO allies, including Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom, will arrive by the end of August.
The exercise will be held from August 30th to September 8th. It will include scenarios of crowd control and unrest, activities of freedom of movement and security operations aimed at maintaining a high level of readiness. At the conclusion of the exercise, all additional forces will leave Kosovo and return to their respective” positions, the announcement said.
According to the announcement, this reportedly represents a routine event, under the appointment of “O PRH level II”
“The troops from allied countries are trained together with KFOR units as part of the Operation Reserve Force. Although the odds are slim, NATO additional reserve forces can be called in if KFOR needs assistance in implementing its UN mandate to maintain a safe and secure environment, as well as to ensure freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo.
Local communities may note an additional amount of vehicle movement, resulting from the transport of armoured vehicles as units arrive in preparation”, the report said.
