The Parliamentary Commission for Legislation has initiated the dismissal of Driton Muharrem, a member of the Kosovo Judiciary Council, who has been heard in recently released wiretapping.

This Commission member Adnan Rrustemi said at a media conference that Muharemi has seriously violated official office and violated Kosovo's justice system.

He should resign himself, but since we haven't seen such actions by Mr. Muharrem, today we have initiated his dismissal procedure. Consider it Mr. Muharrem has seriously violated the justice system. A person with such images can't stay as a member of the KDR. In defense of independence and impartiality, by sending a message to citizens that the justice system can not be violated by such actions and persons, we have made a decision on his dismissal”, he said.

In the audio recordings released days earlier, Driton Muharrem sounds like talking to a person who had been confiscated cars, and in this case, the same one had asked Judge Muharrem to intervene to free his car.
