Democratic Party of Kosovo head-in-chief Betim Joschi has commented on the resignation of former delegation Xhevahire Izaku from the PDK after failing to become part of the leadership.
Joshi told Kosovo Press that reforms initiated in the PDK are hampering some officials who have been taught to hold positions and privileges now for 20 years.
He has said reform should be correctly understood that new promising frameworks should be created that work for the good of all citizens indiscriminately.
“Zj. Izak is leaving because there is no support at any level of party organisation. At the branch she tried to impose her stance, but she did not find support. Also, he's been asking a lot to become part of the central leadership, but there's no support here either. Reform means officials like Mrs. Izmacus, who have acquired positions and privileges for over 20 years, must also yield to promising new cadres. The political commitment seen only through the prism of the moment's personal positioning is not principled, because personal interest should not dominate the overall interest”, Yoshi told Kosovo today.
He has stressed that despite attempts at sabotage as in the case of Jevahire Izzak, the Vushtrri branch and chairmanial candidate Ferit Idrizi are favourites to win the October 17th election.
Joci has also said that the PDK, however, respects Izmak's right to leave and wants health and good work.
