So declares union president Nundman Jasharaj, who appeals to the educators for this month's immunization COVID-19 in order not to risk the start of the new school year.
From the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation it has become known that so far there are 17 thousand and 483 vaccinated education workers, while the country's total number of teachers is 24 thousand and 370.
SBASK Chairman Nundman Jasharaj for Kosova Preis voiced optimism that during the remaining days of August, teachers, or as he calls the <x0med ones”, will be vaccinated at least with the first dose.
It says it is extremely important to complete such a process so that the new school year can begin normally with physical presence in school facilities, as is the aim of the AugustI.
The “those who are not vaccinated for their whims or for any conspiracy theory, the SBASK will not protect them if institutions take constitutional measures, or later even punitive measures. So, we're not going to protect them because they have to sit down and wonder if a lot of them are vaccinated because they don't vaccinate... August, I want to be optimistic. I'm going to come up to about 100 percent of first dose vaccinated, a very large number of second doses, and these guys are figuratively saying, the sleeps they've been waiting for will get the first dose. All this appeal is being made for the sake of students, for the sake of the educational system”, he says.
Jasharaj claims it is extremely important to complete the inoculation of teachers so that the start of the new school year will not be jeopardised and learning will be eliminated online.
He says that if teachers are not vaccinated and there is a deterioration of the situation with COVID-19, then they will have the weight of their guilt.
I wish teachers would not hesitate to go on with the vaccine so we can have a new, successful year, but will be successful only if it is done in educational institutions. Any other version of learning will be much more trouble and too difficult, but in all this commitment I'm saying everyone should do their job. We as SBASK continue with appeals, THE United States will continue with the DKA to hold meetings with teachers so that even those who eventually hesitate to go and vaccinate, parents will carry out their task”, Jasharaj says.
Teachers' leader points out how SBASK will not oppose Kosovo institutions if anti-vaccination - CO VID will become binding for all sectors.
If conditions apply to all people, for all sectors dealing with work, then we're not against doing this to benefit teachers, I'm talking about conditioning, but not making conditions for the education system, not others. If it's a condition for all of us we don't react because I'm saying we've been struggling, we're engaged, and it's a duty and a duty of every educational worker to do his duty. The primary task more than preparing for the new school year is to vaccinate”, he says.
The SBASK chairman says that if teachers will fulfill their obligation to vaccinate, then unions will have the opportunity for domestic institutions to submit their demands.
On the contrary, he says their voice will be more silent and that they will be accomplices if the situation with COVID-19 within schools deteriorates.
Let's vaccinate to have the key mouth to ask for our demands that are legitimate, but if we fail to vaccinate, then our voice will be much more silent because we will be complicit if the situation in the education sector worsens”, he says.
Teachers have been a priority category for inoculation, in order for the regular learning process to begin in September.
