In today's cabinet meeting, I have proposed voting the decision on the need to provide temporary and immediate protection from the Republic of Kosovo, for Afghan citizens who have been US government collaborators in Afghanistan, as well as for their families.
This decision, in addition to the spirit of common interests within co-operation with the United States of America, is at the same time an attempt by the Republic of Kosovo to provide its help by respecting the principles of international law for offering help to the category of persons who are found or may be in danger, were violated by fundamental rights for the reasons of war and conflict in Afghanistan.
The images we're looking at today were not long ago the images we've been living on our own and the protection we've proposed today, presented and applied as the very concept for the use of Kosovo refugees in the 1990s to help Kosovo, which today has the will to return this good.
This decision, paves the way for this category for a country where they will stay temporarily, safely, enjoy all fundamental rights under our legislation and institutional support until the creation of a long-term solution in the United States.
This attempt to save lives is the moral obligation of our country, and the human principle that is being given institutional character as well as is continued co-operation with the American state, as allies in this process and in all important processes conducted in Kosovo.
