G7 Taliban calls: Allow Afghans to leave the country

The G7 foreign ministers called on the Taliban to respect their commitments to the safe exit of all Afghans who want to leave, the group's first official statement on the crisis in Afghanistan said. The ministers, the declaration adds, are “remarkably concerned by [...]

The ministers, the declaration adds, are “andly concerned by reports of violent revenge in parts of Afghanistan“. “G7 is continuing to do everything possible to evacuate endangered citizens through Kabul airport and call on all sides to continue to facilitate the evacuation process,”, the statement added.

As the evacuation of foreign staff and Afghans working for the Allies continues, the American Army says it is in “continuing <x1munism” with Taliban. According to Pentagon spokesman John Cyrus, the agreement with the Taliban was necessary for the continuation of the mission.

And in order to ensure the well-being of evacuation, armed American warplanes are constantly flying over Kabul. So far according to the Pentagon, there have been no hostile interactions with Taliban or attempts to prevent evacuation.

US Army Major General William Taylor said that the gates of Kabul's international airport have opened and so far 7,000 people have been evacuated. The US Army has over 5,200 troops at Kabul Airport to secure evacuation.
