Of the 50 Kosovo fire sites, only 10. So has the spokesman for the Agency for Emergency Management, Nehat Kocinaj. The data's up until 1600 Monday.
“During the day, we have had up to 50 fires, but they could locate, thanks to KFOR's intervention”, Kocinaj was expressed, saying that the region hardest hit by fires is Peja, and especially the village of Stepeq.
Kocinaj said Kosovo needs hugely for helicopters so that the better situations can be managed by various disasters.
The heated situation in Kosovo continues to be problematic in some areas of Kosovo.
Thanks to the commitment of the Fire Brigade in Gjakova, the Kosovo Police and aid from the Yunik municipality, it has been managed to extinguish the fire in the village of Nec in Gjakova.
There has been fire in the municipality of Malisheva, Suhareka, Decani.
After the fire situation, Kosovo police through a media report point out that it refers to the situation in which we are in connection with the spread of several fires in different areas of our country, with its available capacities being committed to preventing and extinguishing fires by providing assistance with police equipment such as water cannons, and by coordinating activities with other agencies in all regions where fires have been reported.
Kosovo's “Police have been intensively engaged in investigating the causeants of the fires and all persons suspected of triggering intentional arson, or because of their neglect, will face justice organs”.
Defence Minister Armend Mehaj has also called on citizens today to denounce any abuse by different persons concerning the lighting of recent fires in Kosovo.
Minister Mehaj's call comes after adding fire departments to several locations in the country, including the mountains of Sharri and Rugova.
The defence ministry, Mehej has said, is on monitoring, analysis and assessment of the situation created, and since the first day of the fire explosion has engaged specialised units for response to the locationisation and extinguishing of the fires.
Otherwise, so far in terms of arson, Kosovo police have identified and arrested two suspects. One was arrested in Zubin Potok and the other in Babimovc, Obilic.
