The leading expert on infectious diseases in the United States, Anthony Fauci, said the United States could take control of COVID's pandemic-19 early next year if there will be more vaccinated.
His statement was made on 24 August, a day after the federal government gave full approval for the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, American President Joe Biden's health adviser, said full approval for Pfizer's vaccine. BioNtech from the Food and Bars Administration (FDA) opens the way for more people to be vaccinated.
“I would like to appeal to people who are not vaccinated to understand that we have the ability to cut the deadline to reach the end of this pandemic”, Fauci said during a news conference.
Full approval of the Modern vaccine could be made within this week, he added.
US officials also called on private employers and state and local governments to ask their employees to be vaccinated.
The U.S. Army, some businesses, universities and other organizations have begun to impose vaccines.
On August 24th, more major American employers announced they would seek vaccination of the workers.
While President Beden on 24 August, asked the private sector and local governments to order their employees to be vaccinated against the coronary.
“If you are business leaders, nonprofit leaders, state or local leaders, who have expected the FDA's full approval to seek inoculation, I urge you to do so now”, Biden said.
Pfizer. B ONTech has been approved for emergency use since December.
Since then, over 204 million people in the United States have taken this vaccine.
A little over half of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
The other two vaccines given there are: Modern and Johnson&Johnson.
