Are we falling into the status quo? Belgrade reportedly received guarantees from 10 other states for attracting recognition

As the Serbian newspaper “Politika” writes, it is strong guarantees that these countries have given to Belgrade.

The paper says that these countries are thought to be from Africa and Asia, but did not mention them by names, mainly because of, as this newspaper writes, “possible pressures to which they could be exposed by the US” broadcast Zeri.info.

Predrag Rajic, from the Centre for Social Stability in Belgrade, believes that countries that can reconsider their previous decisions -- namely, attracting recognition -- are many countries from the continent of Africa, but also countries from the Middle East.

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Vladislav Jovanovic says that “Kina is starting to get involved in issues that cannot be resolved by America and which hinder the implementation of certain goals, such as the issue of Republika Srpska and the protection of Serbia's territorial integrity”.

He estimated that Russia and China must approach, “because they are feeling threatened by the United States” and reminded them of Venezuela's issue or vetos the new high representative in BiH.

According to Jovanovic, if Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Serbia by the end of the year, this would be a clear demonstration of support and send a broader view, which the West would have to pay more attention.
