European Commission President Ursula von der Leeyen has called for the assistance of Afghan refugees.
She said that she should help the remaining ones in Afghanistan.
We have to help, not only the Afghans who arrive here in Spain, but the remaining ones in Afghanistan. The EU is determined to continue supporting NGOs operating in the country”, the EC president said.
On the other hand, she said solutions should be offered even for those who cannot stay in their homes.
This means that first we must follow legal and secure ways that those who need to offer our support to” concluded.
