Edi Rama: I don't want to remember, but for Italy, welcoming Afghan refugees is a task

For Italy, I say that welcoming Afghan refugees is a task”, says Edi Rama.

This is the title of the Italian media that has conducted an interview for the hot”x1 humanitarian server that has remained at the door to America and Europe these days of August.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has explained to the Italian daily “Il Foglio”, his attitude to open the doors to Afghan refugees, while Italians have urged them to do the same.

The daily, describes the Albanian prime minister's stance as a <x0manifest against hypocritical and unremembered Europeans”.

“If Europe is duplicated even for Afghanistan”, Rama says, “is because they no longer remember history”.

While acknowledging Afghans in Albania, it has been described as a very natural decision, which puts Albanians on the right tip of history.

The paper follows the confession, with the fact that Rama's taste in Italy remained that of a prime minister from a small neighbouring country who offered his few doctors to help Italy during the pandemic.

Today, he is back there, ready to help. But this time, a country about as large as the Lombardy region in Italy will welcome two to three thousand Afghans.

As Albania speaks of thousands of Afghans, in Italy, much larger, only dozens of refugees are spoken of.

So the question is: Should Europe and Italy in particular take an example from Albania?
