Kosovo Tax Administration spokeswoman (ATK) Valentina Bytyqi-Sefa tells Kosovo that for the measure of 1.1, the return to work of those who lost jobs during the pandemic -- pay subsidies of up to 50 per cent of the gross monthly salary for three months -- have applied 63 employers for 149 workers.
While, for the measure of 1.2, support for formalised employees, which envisions the subsidisation of the pension contribution worth 10 per cent of the monthly gross wage for more than 12 months, starting from July to June 2022, have applied 62 businesses for 274 workers.
“For size 1.1, we've had 63 requests with about 149 workers, to take advantage of measure 1.1. And for the measure of 1.2 we have 62 demands of 274 workers and for the measure 1.3, we have 144 requests of 242 workers. The total of all requests and workers who have been asked to be subsidised by measures which we have impact on is 226 requests with 666 employees”, she points out.
spokeswoman Bytyqi Sefa also says that for the measure 1.3 of this package, support of women's employment, which envisions subsidisation of wages up to 50 per cent of the gross monthly salary for three months, while after the end of the three-month period, pension contributions are subsidised for the remaining months.
And we have about 144 requests of 242 workers, which is all women because of the measure 1.3... So far we haven't accepted any concerns, any complaints about malfunctioning the platform we've created, and tools will gradually emerge within the criteria that are previously envisioned. Because even criteria have been envisioned monthly as supporting 50 per cent of the salary to the measure 1.1, then supporting the pension contributions. So, it's not tools that come up when you apply, but over the months”, Bytyqi-Sefa said.
Measures from the economic revival package have begun to be implemented shortly after the decision by the Finance Ministry was implemented from August 6th, while the application is open until October 15th 2021 at 24:00.
