Economic recovery dependent on vaccine

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Berat Rukiqi, in a conversation with Online Economy, has said that there is a recent increase in circulation and that will certainly be reflected in the country's budget.

From conversations with businesses, there is an increase in circulation, and this will certainly be reflected in the country's budget and in the financial state of companies. We're in the process of recovery. I'm referring to increasing business circulation this year and increasing exports and budget revenues. Still, we cannot speak without having an official conclusion of the pandemic. If we want to see the part of the recovery and have long-term development plans, we can't do this without having a better vaccination situation, and this is appeal for all those who are reluctant to be vaccinated, especially now when there is a possibility of selecting the vaccine and not being a hostage to domestic development”, Rukiqi said.

The chairman of the American Chamber of Economics, Arian Zeka, stressed that the diaspora's contribution to the country's economy is extraordinary.

According to him, only if economic growth of 7.9% can be achieved, we can consider full economic recovery.

The diaspora contribution to the country's economy is remarkable not only in terms of the remittances they send to their country in Kosovo. What we can say is that their massive arrival will have tremendous impact on the country's economy. If we reach the projected government rate of 7.9% for 2021, I believe that in the first few months of 2022 we will be able to conclude that we have achieved full economic recovery”, Zeka said.
