The plane had been on the ground for half an hour before leaving without any passengers, she said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday that there are Dutch citizens in other evacuation flights that have been launched by Kabul in a CNN statement.
She continued: “Holanda and her allies are working hard to organise additional evacuation flights. The new information will be provided once the ministry is able to confirm its contents. “
The initial plane, sent from the Netherlands on Monday to evacuate people from Afghanistan, was unable to land in Kabul and had to return due to dangerous scenes that appeared at Hamid Karzai International Airport, the ministry said.
