US donates more than 35 thousand vaccines to Kosovo, Costett pledges others

US Ambassador Philip Costet said vaccines were sent through the Covax programme and are part of the United States' commitment to play a leading role in the fight to end pandemic worldwide.
He has also pledged granting other vaccines to Kosovo.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani initially talked about the lack of vaccines in Kosovo, explaining she has applied for US President Joe Biden.
It has reiterated that the vaccine is the most patriotic act at this time, adding that this donation testifies to the friendship between the two states and refers to the folk proverbious word “
I knew that Biden would help him and we got answers for over 500 thousand vaccines, the container is accepting him today, and the rest will come soon. This proves friendship, good friend is seen on a difficult day, thanks to all those who contributed to the vaccines being here. It's not enough just to achieve vaccines, the vaccine is the most patriotic act of this time, everyone has to be vaccinated. This is the right thing”.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said these donated vaccines will be administered for a day and a half and that 60% of the population will be isolated within the year.
He has added that Kosovo is grateful for US assistance in combating Coddy-19, reports EO.

With the rate of vaccinating the accepted doses today will be administered within one and a half days, so far over 600 thousand vaccines have been given. UN Development Co-ordinator Ulrike Richardson said that the Delta version is already spreading fast and that the best way is inoculation for protection from pandemic.
