Customs prevents 17 cases of bill fraud, mainly in car import

Kosovo Customs specialised sectors, thanks to an organised operation to combat customs fraud and smuggling, only during August 26th, have managed to reveal 17 cases of fraud, mainly in car imports.

Suspected frauds have been made in order to implement the lowest value of payment of obligations.

It is noteworthy that as a result of this plan, 10 customs violations have been pronounced, and 2 cases have been initiated for criminal investigation, which have had higher evasion. Other cases are being administered until the necessary verification procedures are completed.

Kosovo customs is aware of the attempted fraud in this area and requires trade subjects and citizens to co-operate and refrain from fraud in any possible form.

Kosovo Customs aims to protect the state's interest in co-operation, making it impossible for criminals to benefit from citizens' taxes.
