Madagascar has been quarantined from the Covid-19 pandemic, while its southern region is caught by hunger.
Authorities have announced last month that they had obstructed a plot to kill and neutralise” a number of people, including the president.
This news came a month after another attempt failed to kill the head of police forces.
Among the recent arrests were military and police personnel, including five generals, two captains and five specialised officials.
President Rajoelina, 47, first took power in 2009 by Marc Ravalomanana with the help of the army. /Periscope
