The former Council of Kurt criticises Osman: You have the power to accept Afghan refugees.

Once again Afghanistan has fallen to the Taliban, the radical Islamic movement. This has led the United States, which withdrew from this Asian country after 20 years, to ask different countries to accept temporary housing of Afghan refugees. Such a request coming from [...]

The Kosovo government in a proposal for Reporter has stated that they do not have any additional information about the shelter of Afghans who helped Americans during their stay in Afghanistan.

While yesterday the Kurti II Government indicated that since mid-July it has been in constant co-operation with the US and that the issue of Afghan refugees will be well closed.

On the other hand, the country's president by means of a long Facebook post wrote that she has already given positive answers to the US's request for refugee admission from Afghanistan, who are fleeing in fear of the Taliban depressions that gained power after the Allied forces left.

“Without any single hesitation or conditioning, I have given my consent to such a humanitarian operation”, Osmani wrote.

The president even played the role of the government's spokeswoman when she showed what the executive has undertaken on the matter.

The Kosovo government, immediately after the application and discussion of institutional agreement, has formed the working group that deals with organisational issues along with our American partners. It was the request of the United States of America that this issue remain confidential for security reasons and the process of removing Afghan citizens from Afghanistan”, President Osmani's post said.

The declaration of the first state criticises former Prime Minister Albin Kurti's adviser, Durim Berisha.

The recogniser of constitutional law, in a proposal for the Online Journal “Reporter.net”, said President Osmani's promise is unreasonable and unnecessary since it cannot be implemented in practice.

“Taking into account that any confirmation of Afghanistan's refugee accession of state president cannot be implemented because this institution lacks executive competence, such a reaction of President Osmane, except it turns out to be unreasonable. Asyoli's procedures are conducted by the Interior Ministry, and only that institution has the opportunity to assess whether Kosovo has the capacity to accept a number of refugees, as required by”, Berisha said.

In view of the president's lack of competencies over the accession issue or not of refugee Afghans, such a statement is for some personal advertising. However, such a thing, according to Berisha, has placed competent institutions in the country's unsatisfying position.

“The president could express support for a government decision, but there is no authority to decide about accepting foreign persons or not. Therefore, with its move, more than a few personal advertising, it has put competent institutions in an inconsistent position about this issue, which, in addition to the human aspect of national security and requires sufficient professional staff that Kosovo lacks”, Berisha told Reporter.net.

Finally, Kurt's former advisor has a tip for the country's first.

“President Osmani must understand and accept the role and function the Constitution corresponds to. So a ceremonial role without executive competence”, Berisha said.

During the day, Reporter.net has sent questions to the address of the Kosovo Presidency to ask that on the basis of which legal competencies, Osmani has made promise to accept refugees from Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Online Reporter.net has asked which institutions have ordered them to implement this promise and whether there has been pre-co-ordination with the Kurti II Government for the state's accession work that recognised Kosovo's independence among the first.

Until the publication of this scripture, answers from the presidency have been missing.

We remember that so far, except for Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia and Canada have so far demonstrated readiness to accept refugees from Afghanistan.
