The news has been made known about Kalxo, Benilla Terova, deputy mayor of Korca.

“The participation in Korca is part of the international tour of this major Balkan artist of international size”, she said. According to her, Beer Fest in Korca is a mass holiday aimed at respecting and promoting cultural and ethnic diversity.

“Korca Bashkia REFUZED to be involved in a debate attempting to POLITIZE the Beer Fest”, she said.

Our “Fest is of all Albanians and beyond. We have been aiming to internationalize the holiday from year to year with musicians and visitors from every corner of the Balkans and Europe”, Terova said.

In April 2006, Bregovic has held two major concerts at the Congress Palace in Tirana, and is praised with the Key of the City by the then mayor Edi Rama

. In Kosovo and Albania, public and citizens are rejecting this concert, with the assumption that under the songs of Bregovic, they have promoted crimes during the war in Kosovo.
