For these operations, KSF Operation Department Chief Lieutenant Ejup Macedonia has provided details in a conversation with Online Economy.
Lieutenant Macedonia has said that in Kosovo they have operated in three main areas, among them in Peja and Oslak's Shtupeq, Prizren.
He even said it is to emphasize continued KFOR helicopter support in territories where the KSF has not been able to operate.
The KSF is currently operating on Kosovo's territory to provide support to civil authorities with the aim of managing the situation with fires. We've had three teams continuing to be willing to react to extinguishing and controlling fires in various areas. So far we've operated in three main areas: Peja's staff, continuing operation of our team. We were engaged in the villages of Suhareka and Oslak, Prizren. It is to emphasize the continued support we have had from KFOR by helicopter in the territories that we have not been able to operate by vehicle. At any time, we have a team that is overseeing the fire in Peja's Staff, which is often larger”, Macedonia said.
According to him, the KSF has landed in Albania with 32 members who, in co-operation with emergency fire crews, are operating on extinguishing and controlling fires.
Colonel Macedonia stressed that based on information the situation in Albania is at the moment calm.
Kosovo Security Force with the president's authorisation has issued operational order from the General Staff for the unit operating in Albania and we have built a task force with a focus of three fire squads. We also have a company team for civil operations designed to build contacts with state authority in Albania, and a medical team we have sent to support these teams. In Albania, we have landed 32 members who, in co-operation with the emergency fire crews, are operating on extinguishing and controlling fires in northern Albania. Based on information, the situation in Albania is calm. Fire holes are concentrated west of Kukes and our teams are operating in that area and have turned off several fires there and are aimed at saving people's lives”, he said.
Among other things, Macedonia said fortunately so far Kosovo has not needed to invite any place for any disasters.

While, Captain Gail Kocinaj said that besides the 32-member contingent in Albania The KSF has other teams on alert that are in Kosovo.
