The Central Election Commission (KQZ) enables all political parties instead of making improvements or evental corrections in terms of certificate lists for local elections.
Valmir Elezi, spokesman at the CEC, said this is the possibility the Law provides for general elections and the Law for local elections for political subjects to present improvements-reforming within the deadline.
“Based on the operational plan approved by the CEC, on 17 August the Office for Registeration of Political Partys and Certificate has begun to announce political subjects regarding the improvements or corrections they should make. This is an opportunity the law provides for general elections and the law on local elections for political subjects to present improvements/reforms within the deadline set by Office”.
He has clarified that the Office for Registeration of Political Partys and Certificates has contacted all parties, which have been recorded any error, lack of documentation that must be improved.
“Zyra has developed such communication with all political subjects, in which any error/munge documentation must be improved/managed. The Certificate Office has contacted all parties that have been viewed as necessary to make an upgrade”.
“After this phase, as well as after completing the process of verifying candidates whether they are in line with Article 29 of the general election law, the Office will submit recommendations for certificate or not to any candidate to the CEC. As always, meetings are open to the media and will be able to convey the CEC decision-making process”.
After that he has indicated that those who disagree with CEC decisions may complain at PZAP, but also in the Supreme Court, EO reports.
This is actually the stage when correction and improvement regarding documentation are made and this ends with the 21st date. The CEC will also make verification of candidates with other institutions by 23 August the application is submitted, responses are expected by 24 August. After the CEC ruling, they may complain at PZAP until Supreme Court”.
During the day in the media, it was reported that the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo for head of Pristina, Progress Rama, has applied for certificate of the UNMIK's Central Election Commission with identification.
But Rama has declared that in the CEC she has applied for the identification certificate of the Republic of Kosovo, which she received in June.
