Rescue Operation Operation Operation Operation Pittsburgh, which includes 600 troops, is trying to evacuate about 4,000 British and Afghan citizens from Kabul in the coming days.
Wallace said the military side of Kabul's airport is “safe” and that the government was doing everything to evacuate up to 1,500 British and Afghan citizens in the next 24 hours.
