British Prime Minister: We'll work with the Taliban on evacuations.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has talked about the situation in Afghanistan, saying evacuation efforts are improving.

After an emergency meeting of the Government Committee, Johnson has told reporters that he is seeing a stabilisation at Kabul airport.

Yesterday we were able to get about 1,000 people out, today 1,000 other people”, Johnson said.

At that, the British prime minister has said that if necessary, he will co-operate with the Taliban to find a solution in order to carry out evacuations.

I want to assure people that our political and diplomatic efforts to find a solution for Afghanistan are continuing. If necessary, we will co-operate with the Taliban”, Johnson said.
