In a statement to the French press, Borrell expressed regret at the security measures the United States imposed at the airport in Kabul because this, according to him, hinders evacuation, the Express states.
The US administration has set August 31st as the date for its final withdrawal from Afghanistan and plans to evacuate more than 30,000 Afghan Americans and civilians.
