According to the media report, AVONET reportedly expresses concern with the current chaotic situation created as a consequence of poor management by Health Minister Vitita, and especially with the approval of new measures by the Government of Kosovo, which are in force until September 13th, 2021.
According to them, these measures that violate the freedom of citizens' movement are flagrant violations of human rights, taking into account that this whole situation comes from inadequate government management, with these measures hurting only citizens and the country's economy.
Taking into account that we currently have 267,979 citizens vaccinated with the second dose of vaccine and 528,625 citizens vaccinated with the first dose, AV ONET points out that setting such measures has been unnecessary and constituted violations of basic human rights and freedoms, because citizens have been aware that the vaccine is a condition and the basis for the pandemic to be managed and not come to this conclusion, even citizens have been dedicated to vaccinated by preventing access to certain countries, which is also a violation because on the basis of current laws no one can be forced to take the anti-Convidian vaccine. Setting such rigorous measures for limiting movement from 10:00 to 0500 is the Ministry of Health's rotating absurdity, because so far there has been no precautionary measure and we can't go from not putting a rigorous mass to a rigorous extent, but establishing measures has had to be done gradually depending on the current situation. What is more, the limit to moving at a given time is an inappropriate measure because does this mean that the virus has only during that time? When it is known that citizens can move freely during the day and perform daily activities”, the announcement says.
According to AVONET, to make this situation worse is the fact that in the Ministry of Health there is no free term for vaccination, even the Vaccination Centres do not work on weekends against the promises and demands of citizens to vaccinate.
Besides affecting and harming citizens in judicial and financial ascetics, these measures are harmful to the country's economy as well, because these measures damage gastronomia to the loss of jobs. AV The ONET requires that the ombudsman institution prioritize these measures and concerns raised on our part and that citizens are not subject to the violation of basic rights by the Government of Kosovo. Likewise, AVONET is seeking from Health Minister Arben Vitita to resign from the minister's position because today we only have 36 dead, because we have a black record and high numbers of new cases”, said the communiqué.
According to AVONET “this today's dark balance shows best that Vitia has failed to manage so that new cases of death, AV, are not caused. ONET wants him to step down”.
