Until the number of vaccinated workers in municipalities is still unknown, and after 13 September they will have to have the certificate of vaccine or the negative test to get into the workplace, municipalities are expected to increase by 400 inspectors.

The director of the municipal association, Sazan Ibrahimi, in an interview for Kosova Preris, has indicated about the meeting they have had with Minister Vitita against the latest measures that have been approved by the Government of Kosovo.

Abraham did not forget the total closure about which they differed.

“As far as total closure in any case is concerned with the mayors and the Association of Kosovo municipalities, it is not for any total closure, as it has been before because circumstances are different. By the time we have total closure, we have no vaccines, and now we have vaccines. The request of the Kosovo Communists Association is that as much as we have vaccination points or vaccination centres, this willingness has been expressed by the mayors during the meeting with Minister Vitita and have demanded that the number of health workers increase, so that Kosovo's citizen can get the vaccine. In recent days we have gatherings at the vaccine centres, and for this reason municipalities in the last meeting have asked Minister Vitita to do everything possible to open as many vaccine centres as possible. On the other hand, closure is not a solution because besides public health we have to take care of economic health, because it has been found that without economic health and public health, it's a problem to maintain, therefore the mayors, the municipal association is not pro-closed,” has praised it.

He added that they have sought to increase the number of municipal inspectors in order to become monitoring anti-communication measures. - CO VID.

We've raised this concern as an association, at the central level, and with the review of the 2021 budget and 76 municipal inspectors at the local level were taken over and centralized, but except that we have a lack of inspectors at the local level with the taking of these 76 inspectors the gap has increased. Therefore, we have appealed from the central level for the number of local inspectors to increase so that monitoring of the measures can be made or even implementation of the measures. We have been promised by the minister, now numbering about 1,000 health workers, and inspectors are in recruiting. We once again asked for the number of inspectors to be added to the local level, and Minister Vitita during the conversation promised us that in the very short future the number of staffs to be delegated to the local level would be plus 400” he declared.

Ibrahim also talks about the fourth granite to be for municipalities from the Government of Kosovo.

New measures taken yesterday by the Kosovo government have come into force today and will be in force by 13 September.
