On August 14th, he has said 28,000 people have been removed from this country.
Biden has said on Sunday that his original priority is to evacuate American citizens from Afghanistan, “as soon as possible”.
“We are working hard and as fast as we can to extract people. This is our mission. That's our target”, Biden told reporters.
The American president has also said he has activated the fleet offered by commercial airlines to help transport refugees.
Beden has said he still hopes to finalise the dramatic evacuation from Afghanistan by 31 August, but has left the open opportunity for extending the deadline, if necessary.
Through the TV address from the White House, Beden said that “expectations should not last”.
But he added that “will see what will be done” if required by foreign leaders to change the date of the deadline.
It was reported on August 22nd that seven people died in crowds created outside Kabul Airport, while people were trying to escape from the Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
Taliban militants have reportedly created checkpoints on the perimeter near the airport and are blocking Afghans without travel documents to enter the area.
However, President Biden has said US forces have expanded the area considered safe near Kabul Airport.
About 4,500 American troops are temporarily checking Hamid Karzai International Airport in the Afghan capital.
Beden has defended his decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan, a decision that has been criticised following the surrender of Afghan security forces and the occupation of Taliban.
He said Americans would understand that the verdict was “obsolutely correct”.
I think that history will show that this has been the logical, rational and appropriate decision”, Beden said among other things.
United States-led forces have ousted the Taliban from power in October 2001.
The Taliban have been sheltering that world of Osama Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda figures linked to the September 11 attacks that year in the United States.
US President Joe Biden has said that American attraction is now reasonable, since American forces have made sure Afghanistan will no longer become the basis for foreign jihadists to carry out anti-Western plots.
