Only a small staff will remain in Kabul, while inexperienced diplomatic workers have been asked to leave Afghanistan by the end of the month.
On Thursday, President Biden issued orders for sending 3,000 troops to help another 600 in Afghanistan evacuate embassy staff for fear that the Taliban will be admitted to Kabul within weeks.
The renowned American newspaper, “The New York Times”, reported on Thursday that American officials have talked with the Taliban to prevent the attack on the embassy after the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
The American daily said that about 4,000 people, including 1,400 Americans, work in this embassy.
