So declared Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby behind the cameras, reports CNN.
“in two separate incidents, US forces responded to hostile threats, resulting in the deaths of two armed men”, Kirby said.
The same reiterated that American forces “have the inherent right to self-reliable” by the Taliban gun threats.
The Pentagon's press secretary said “did not have any index” that the two Afghans who were shot and killed during this incident at Hamid Karzai International Airport were Taliban.
Kirby said the incident occurred “within the last 24 hours”.
He said he allegedly wounded an American soldier, though he has not yet confirmed it.
