Kim has expressed satisfaction that previous emergency planning between the two countries is helping with these efforts, especially donations of fire equipment by the US European Command.

On behalf of the US people, I want to express my deep sadness over the damage caused by fires in Albania. Our thoughts go towards all Albanians during this difficult time, especially with those whose lives have been affected by destruction. We are grateful to military personnel and firefighters for their heroic acts to combat fires and help prevent further loss of life and property”, the American diplomat has said.

She has announced that today in the Vlora region she has met with the American expert team from the U.S. Humanitarian Assistance Bureau.AID, who came to Albania to help with co-ordination and response efforts.

I'm grateful for their quick response to the call for help. They have already begun to address the challenges, working together with our Albanian partners. These joint efforts and cooperation among our countries are what Allies do for each other in times of need. These are moments when friends and allies stick together to meet these difficult challenges. I am also very pleased that earlier emergency planning between our countries is helping with these efforts, especially donations of fire equipment from the European Command of the United States in 2019. Fire equipment, such as the “Bambi” used by helicopters, is now being used to save lives. Let me say again, the American people are on your side and will always be on your side during difficult times. Thank you”, says the statement.
