A few locations in the Suhareka Fire Hall have broken out for days.
Being Suhareka's most hit by fires, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has visited this municipality this morning.
Kurti after having held a meeting with Suhareka Mayor Bali Muharremaj, along with him, have gone to the village of Studencan to see the situation closely.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development has invited citizens to take maximum care of forest preservation, nature and environment.
The “is about the appearance of fires, emerging everywhere in Kosovo, from which forests, forest lands, but other rural and urban surfaces” are being damaged, the report says.
The Ministry of Agriculture has invited all responsible institutions from municipalities, the Municipal Units of the Kosovo Forests Agency, the fire service and police for co-ordination of actions, as well as increased cautions in preventing fires and mobilisation in their extinction.
Forests make up about 44.7 percent of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Forest fires, apart from woody mass, also threaten wildlife and flora.
