The former Albanian general talks about Afghanistan: The Taliban movement was established by Pakistan

The former Albanian general who in the past served in the Middle East as part of the Albanian Army contingent in the NATO Army's leadership, Dritan Demaj, has spoken about the current situation in the state of Afghanistan. He has shown the history of the Taliban Movement, from the beginning of the mujahideen war against Soviet forces down to this day. Taliban forces today entered the capital of Kabul as the Afghan president fled the country. All these developments occurred after American forces left after 20 years of residence in the country.

This is the complete Demira writing:

Dear friends!

Since these days in Albania, it's open to debate: “A must be accepted or not by Afghan citizens in Albania” I think it's necessary to do an analysis about the situation in Afghanistan that has been missing from the Albanian media.

First, I want to stress that the situation in Afghanistan is terrible. The Taliban have taken control of eight days of 18 provinces from 34 people across the country, including the largest provinces of Kandaharin, Heratin, Helmandin, Farah, Konduz and Gazny. We surround now only the city of Mazar e-Sharif, Jalaabad and Kabul.

Second, Taliban have their origin from the beginning of the conflict in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation 1979-1989. This invasion led Pakistan to cooperate with the U.S. and Saudi Arabia to finance a war aimed at removing the Soviets from Afghanistan. That's why the Afghan Bureau was created on the ISI (Cent Secret Service of Pakistan, which is considered one of the strongest services in the world). Afghan Bureau under the direction of General Mohammad Yousaf organised, trained and led about 55,000 mujahedines, mostly Afghan and Pakistani, but also about 15,000 units from Gulf countries, Algeria, Libya, Turkey, Bosnia, Chechnya, etc. The main Afghan parties that participated were made up of 7 extremist Islamic parties and four moderate parties. The top commanders were Gulbudin Hekmatiyar, Mohammad Ismail Khan, Rabban, Abdul Sayaf, Ahmad Shah Madoud, Abdul Rashid Dostun, etc.

Third, after the end of the war, Pakistan, given that in its country there were 3.5 million Afghan refugees, began recruiting Afghan youth from Pakistan's middle school to install an Afghan pro Pakistan government in the future. That's why the Taliban Movement was created. After the end of the war with the Soviets, party leaders launched a civil war aimed at controlling Afghanistan. In 1994, the Taliban movement under Mullah Mohammad Omar's support took control of Kandahar in 2004, in 2005-2006, and other provinces such as Herati, Helman, Farah, Nimruzi, etc. In 1997 they took control of Kabul declaring the creation of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan. In 1996, with the invitation of Mullah Omar to Afghanistan came Osama bin Laden with about 2000 Arab mujaheedines, creating the university of jihadism and terrorism through terror training camps like camp “Khalden”, “Al-Farouq”, ” Tarna”, “Derunta” and so on, which trained over 40,000 terrorists from around the world, which carried out over 4530 terrorist attacks in the US, Europe, North and East Africa, in Saleh, Magreb, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Yemen, Southeast Asia, Indian Subcate, and not alone.

Fourth, the command-control structure of the Taliban is the following:

The general name is Maulai Hibatullah Akhunzada. He runs the main Shuran made up of three other Shura.

1. Quata's Shura, which is run by the son of Mullah Mohammad Omar, Mohammad Yaqoobi.

2. Peshhar Shura, led by Jalaluddin Haqqani's son Sirajudin Haqqani.

3. The Shura of Miran Shah, headed by Mahdi Arsolani.

The fifth, the current offensive in Afghanistan has to do with the direct support of Pakistan through the ISI with weapons, logistical equipment, air support, intelligence, Special SSG troops and numerous networks they have in the areas inhabited by Pashtu.

And six, there are 85,000 troops working with about 15,000 other terrorists like: Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda in Pakistan, the Haqqani Network, the Pakistani Tehrik Pakistan Taliban (TTP), the Tajik Taliban, the Éaziri Taliban, the Pakistani-funded groups that came from Jammu and Kashmir: Jaysh e-Mohammad, Lashkar e-Taiba ( LTT), Lashkar e-Islam ( LeI), Lashkar e-Jangwi ( LeJ), Lashkar e-Omar, Uzbekistan Islamic Movement (IMU), ETIME of the waters, and others whose fighters are present in Afghanistan, showing great danger that in the future they can again create terrorist training camps. If we're going to add to these jihadists the number of Afghan soldiers and police officers who are joining the Taliban ranks, then likely within August their number will go to over 50,000. This is definitely going to change the balance of fighting power in favor of the Taliban. Currently, the Afghan army has (has been deserting many soldiers daily) 180,000 soldiers, while Afghan national police are 130,000 effective.

Seven, it's worth pointing out why the Taliban war strategy is so successful. That's because it's run by all Pakistani military intelligence structures (ISI) and the Army General Staff, which are located in Rawaalpindi. The strategy followed by the Taliban is called “Anaconda strategy” which we first understand:

1. Copying control of border checkpoints throughout Afghanistan. So far, all border points with Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have been taken over by Taliban. There are several border points left with Pakistan, which I judge will be easily handled in the coming days.

2. Taking control of major centers and provinces. There are only three main centers left to be occupied: Mazar e-Sharif, Jalaabad and Kabul.

3. Taking control of highway number one, number four and number five. Even this target is almost fully realized. There's only one main street left from Ghazni to Kabul.

4. Getting under control of the main airports is taking most of them only the international airport of Kabul and Bagram Air Base.

5. The complete isolation of Kabul, its siege, and the continuation of the attack until the handover of the capital by the Taliban, which will immediately declare the creation of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan.

6. President Ashraf Ghan's capture, arrest and punishment. (Doha Taliban Negotiation Director, first request has the removal and resignation of President Ghani).

7. Copying under television, media and radio control with the aim of spreading their propaganda, lowering the morale of security agencies and discrediting Afghan governments as unable to lead, corrupt and criminal.

That eight, with the aim of implementing this strategy, the Taliban have used broadly the tactics of asymmetrical war like suicide bombers, suicide attacks with generations of killers, the murder of leading army executives, police, Afghan pilots, intelligence networks, especially Indian and Western investors, the murder of women who matter in Afghan society, pedagages, schools and politicians.

That Article, the cost of 20-year American engagement in Afghanistan has so far been $2.27 trillion. Of these $933 billion or 43 % of the total amount has been spent on anti-terrorism operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan, 443 billion have been additional funds because of the long commitment, 296 billion dollars have gone to the care of Afghanistan veterans, 59 billion have gone to the DAS engagement in Afghanistan. In addition to these figures, 2442 American soldiers, 3936 American contractors, 1144 NATO troops, 70,000 Afghan security troops, 10,000 Pakistani troops, 255,000 Afghan and Pakistani citizens, 141 journalists, 556 UN employees.

Exactly these efforts, commitment and enormous human, financial, diplomatic and economic losses in my judgment do not justify the immediate, unplanned flight of combat troops from Afghanistan. This vacuum, will be completed very quickly by Taliban terrorists and other terrorist groups currently located with Taliban, who will soon take the lead in Afghanistan.

The Afghan population will be faced with school closures, returns to the law of Sheritiat (extra-Talbanian province), women will not be able to go to school, have to be escorted to the streets with their husbands, the country will face terrible social consequences as the violence that is forcing residents to flee to neighboring countries, will return to terror camps again, and when Western countries are attacked again everything will have to start from the beginning.

It seems that from the departure of Americans, Pakistan is rapidly benefiting from all of India's investments and influence from the country, Iran, as it has always opposed the bilateral military agreement and the presence of US military bases in the vicinity of its borders, China due to interest in exploiting Afghanistan's many mineral wealth, the influence of India, provided its strategic land transport routes (bel rodeiating through Afghanistan, Turkey, and Russia as a final guide to the United States of Israel during the 1990s).

Finally, to answer public opinion about accepting Afghan translators. They've been a very important part of our missions. Without their support it would be impossible to realise our missions successfully. Their work consisted not only of translating meetings with the leaders of Shura villages we met 2-3 times a week, but also of gathering intelligence when we spent nights after missions at police stations and exchanged hours of conversations with members of the Afghan police and Army.

Through conversations, questions, and various projects on the ground, mission leaders received part of the information that was then analysed and made integral parts of the pre-mission planning process. The translators were simultaneously our best advisors. They told us what we needed to improve in case someone made a mistake that contradicted the customs and the traffs Punnahli. (After the province of Kandahar resides in most of the villages).

Besides, translators in many cases have also taken the weapons and fought on our side, showing not only loyalty but also horror. In many cases the information that the translators provided to the contingents was to do with the nature of risks and direct threats to the lives of the effectiveness of the mission like: countries where the mines were placed, terrorist groups such as Taliban, Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, or Haqqqan Network in relation to the time and place of attack against our patrols, places where our troops could attack (S-VBIED), or with terrorist groups like Taliban (S-HBIED), houses where they produce equipment with border mines <x2, who gave information to the talents of police or talent, who did business with drug collaborators, and who are involved in the last few months of the campaigning campaign.

In this regard I judge that they should be supported, because in the moments that we speak to the governors of government, the ministers of security, the top military leaders, the police, the pilots of the Afghan Army and translators who have worked with NATO troops are the main targets of the Taliban. There are also U.S., Great Britain, Canada, Germany, and so many Afghans that have taken so far. In my judgment Albania has to take them, house them, and conform all the rules of its own. They've been a great help to us and the Allies, and that's the most minimal thing we have to do. First to show that we too are grateful for the help they have given to contingents, but on the other hand, to fulfill obligations to NATO alliance.

SP: Whoever is interested in the conflict in Afghanistan, I've published three detailed books that analyze the highest. They're in M& B publications at Mr. Bujar Carosh 0692068603.

1. Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan-Pakisan 2021.

2. Special Forces Special Operations Missions in Afghanistan (2001-2021).

3. Afghanistan - A true peace. 2014.
