This year's October 17th elections have brought Albanian parties together in northern municipalities, The PDK, LVV, LDK, AAK and AKR, which will come up with a common candidate against the Serbian List.
For the first time, all Albanian parties have teamed up against the Serbian List in the majority Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo.
Even political parties, LVV, PDK, LDK, AAK and AKR have also agreed on a common candidate.
So has made it known about Gazeta Express, Florent Azemi from the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
“Yes, Albanian political subjects will compete on a joint list for the October 17th elections in the north. Also part of the list will be communities that do not belong to Serbian ethnicity. But it is not ruled out that part of the list is even a Serb who is not happy with leadership there”, he says.
The same has made known the name of the person who will lead the list.
“List will lead Skender Sadiku”, Florent Azemi from PDK said.
Earlier, the head of the LVV Centre in Artana, Abdel Gashi, has indicated that they have joined the PDK and have sought help from other subjects to support a mayoral candidate from civil society.
In a Facebook text, Abdel Gashi has written that a unity of Albanian political subjects is needed.
Gashi has said he has met all political subjects in Artana to join this cause, and so far adds that they have only PDK support.
From this municipality The PDK and LVV have decided to run a civil society member.
“As the head of the Movement Centre in Artana, I have met all representatives of political subjects in Artana to unite around this cause. At these meetings Movement V ETHEVED! has proposed that a candidate for mayor or mayor from civil society be supported. So far we have not found support from other subjects except the Democratic Party of Kosovo”, he says.
When there is little time for such an initiative to become possible, I invite the Albanian subjects to be more rational and more conscious and unite about this initiative from which they all win, Artana” has demanded the same.
