Many residents have fought and battle with flames in many parts of Greece to save their property, homes, and all other valuables, even when the battle seemed to be lost. It is so shocking that Apostol's attempt to put out the fire that was approaching his home in Evia, using only one branch of trees.
As seen in the video, it also climbs the thorn - wire fence and a broken branch, fighting to put out the fire, earning enough time to reach a local firehouse and extinguish the flames.
Speaking on the private Open channel, Apostolis referred to his move, saying that “I thought our house was burning, everyone's property and I entered”. I felt like I was here for 29 years and did my best to put out the fire. We got to the bottom and I said we should get out. I feel I have an obligation to this country”, he expresses himself typically.
