Democracy. com has provided a photograph where Ghan is seen along with a part of the then-Negotiator Kosovo Team.

Otherwise, foreign media reported that Ashraf Ghan left the country with four cars and a private plane after the Taliban took over Kabul. His whereabouts are still unknown.
The Taliban reportedly have taken control of half of the capital's districts and the presidential palace.
